Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

1. How big is a 32 bra size?

The “32” refers to the band measurement. It means the bra is designed for someone with about a 32-inch rib cage measurement, taken just below the bust. The letter (A, B, C, D, etc.) represents the cup size. So, a 32A and a 32D have the same band size, but the 32D has a significantly larger cup volume.

2. Which cup size is bigger: B, C, or D?

Cup sizes increase alphabetically. A is the smallest, followed by B, then C, and D is larger than B and C. The further you move up the alphabet, the greater the cup volume.

3. Is 34 bigger than 36?

No. A 36 band size is larger than a 34 band size. A 36 bra fits a wider rib cage measurement, and the cup volume is slightly larger as well when comparing the same cup letter.

4. How do I calculate my bra size?

First, measure snugly around your rib cage just under your bust. That number is your band size. Next, measure around the fullest part of your chest. Subtract your band measurement from this number. The difference between these two measurements determines your cup size using a standard bra size chart.

5. How do I figure out A, B, C, D in bra size?

The letters represent cup sizes. They are calculated based on the difference between your bust measurement and band measurement. A small difference equals a smaller cup (like A), and as the difference increases, the cup letter moves up the alphabet (B, C, D, and beyond).

6. Is 34C or 36C bigger?

36C is bigger. Even though both are C cups, the 36 band is larger than the 34 band. Cup volume increases along with band size, so a 36C holds more volume than a 34C.
